The survey covered Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, and selected CIS countries. Overall, 59% of companies reported some sort of hiring freeze. If we analyse this more closely, 67% of those companies reported that the hiring freeze is HQ initiated.

For the remainder of 2009, 57% of companies reported that the hiring freeze will continue, while 43% are planning to commence hiring.
